At Riverview Church, we believe that mission is a key part of the Christian identity. In John 20:21, Jesus reminds His disciples, “As the Father has sent me, so I am sending you.” To be a follower of Jesus is to be a ‘sent one’—a good news people living on mission. Carriers, conduits, and envoys of gospel faith, hope, and love. Whether we live and work here in Perth or serve in regional Tanzania, God calls all of us to live out Jesus’ Great Commission and His greatest commandments. To collectively embrace our co-mission.
How to get involved
Mission starts with listening. Where has God positioned you and where might He be calling you? Co-Mission prompts each of us to prayerfully discern what it means to live as ‘a sent one’, both in the spaces we already occupy and in the places God may be calling us into. It’s a time to ask honest, important questions: What has God placed in my hands? What burdens has He stirred in my heart? Where is He sending me?
One of the key ways that we join together in Co-Mission is through prayer. We invite you to intentionally take time to pray for our mission partners and the communities they serve. Pray for open doors, open hearts, and for God’s kingdom to come, here in Perth and across the world. Let’s commit to praying for strength, provision, and the transformative power of the gospel in every place God has sent us.
Mission is not a solo act, it’s something we do together. We encourage you to get involved with one of our mission partners. This is a commitment to get informed; encourage them, join them in ongoing prayer, and finding creative ways to support their work. Whether through connection, correspondence, or collaboration, we encourage everyone to play a role in meaningful gospel partnership.
Your generosity makes the work of mission possible. Every dollar given helps resource our mission partners and extend the reach of gospel love in practical ways. Giving financially is our response to shoulder the burden with our partners, resourcing their work and standing alongside them in practical support. Every contribution is a way of saying, “We’re with you in Co-Mission!”
This year, we’re inviting the people of Riverview Church to participate in Co-Mission by giving generously.
One mission. Three different expressions.
We partner with several local and global mission partners who seek to express the love of Jesus in practical and life-giving ways here in Perth, and in Cambodia, Tanzania and India.
Here’s two ways that you can contribute towards our commitment to our Co-Mission Partners:
Tax Deductible Giving
Our 2026 goal: $245,000
Non-Tax Deductible Giving
Our 2026 goal: $60,000
You can contribute tax deductible gifts towards the renovation of the Riverview Building which will house our Kids Ministry wing in addition to providing spaces for future Co-Mission blessing opportunities for the people of Perth.
Tax Deductible Giving
Long-term goal: $2,000,000
We choose to partner relationally, because we believe God is at work everywhere. Our known and trusted mission partners, both international and local, share our heart for love, justice, and gospel transformation, and together, we’re part of something bigger than ourselves; together, we are on mission.
