June marks the beginning of our month of mission.

At Riverview Church, we believe that mission is a key part of the Christian identity. In John 20:21, Jesus reminds His disciples, “As the Father has sent me, so I am sending you.” To be a follower of Jesus is to be a ‘sent one’—a good news people living on mission. Carriers, conduits, and envoys of gospel faith, hope, and love.

Whether we live and work here in Perth or serve in regional Tanzania, God calls all of us to live out Jesus’ Great Commission and His greatest commandments. To embrace our co-mission in our worlds and in the world. Together, we are called to be faithful witnesses in the places God has already placed us, and to lift our eyes beyond our own comfort, joining in gospel partnership to bear the burden of mission.

How to Get involved:

One of the key ways that we join together in co-mission is through prayer. We invite you to intentionally take time to pray for our mission partners and the communities they serve. Pray for open doors, open hearts, and for God’s kingdom to come, here in Perth and across the world. Let’s commit to praying for strength, provision, and the transformative power of the gospel in every place God has sent us.

Mission is not a solo act—it’s something we do together. We want to invite you to prayerfully choose one of our mission partners that you can commit to partnering with. This is an invitation to get informed, encourage them, for ongoing prayer, and finding creative ways to support their work. Whether through connection, correspondence, or collaboration, we want to invite everyone to play a role in gospel partnership.

Your generosity makes the work of mission possible. Every dollar given helps resource our mission partners and extend the reach of gospel love in practical ways. Giving financially is our response to shoulder the burden with our partners, resourcing their work and standing alongside them in practical support. Every contribution is a way of saying, “We’re with you in co-mission”.

We choose to partner relationally, because we believe God is at work everywhere. Our known and trusted mission partners, both international and local, share our heart for love, justice, and gospel transformation, and together, we’re part of something bigger than ourselves; together, we are on mission.
