There is nothing more remarkable about Christmas than this: the Creator of all that is, the One who holds the universe in His hands, has come to dwell among His people. He has stepped into our world, into our homes, and into the midst of our ordinary days.
This season, we invite you to pause, reflect and join us in discovering the wonder of God’s presence. For the weary, there is rest. For the searching, there is hope. And for all, there is a place of belonging. This Christmas is an invitation to rejoice in Emmanuel; the home where every heart is welcome, every story matters and all things are made new.
A reflective gathering for those who may have experienced loss or difficult changes this year. Our service offers a space to remember, grieve, and find solace amid the festivities. Whether you've lost a loved one, faced hardships in employment, health, relationships, or life in general, you're not alone.

Service
10am, Thursday, 25 December
Join us on Christmas morning as we gather for a one-hour family service celebrating the birth of our Lord Jesus. For many in our community, this day can feel different or difficult, and we want this to be a warm and welcoming space to worship and enjoy the beauty of Christmas together.
Children of all ages are encouraged to stay with us in the auditorium, and our Parents’ Room in the foyer will be available for use throughout the service.
No tickets are required, and this service will not be live-streamed.
Holiday Break
There will be no Sunday gatherings on 28 December 2025, as we take a short break over the Christmas holiday. We look forward to coming together again in the new year on Sunday, 4 January 2026.
The Riverview Church offices will also be closed from Tuesday, 23 December 2025 - Tuesday, 6 January 2026
Overflowing
with generosity
A practical invitation for every family.
Christmas provides us with another opportunity to embody and embrace our desire to be a people of generosity. Every year, the community of Riverview Church makes a significant contribution into our broader neighbourhood through thoughtful provision, presence and consistency. This year, through partnerships with Midland Meals and Prison Fellowship, we have two specific opportunities to make significant contributions into our broader neighbourhood.
Gifts of Hope:
Each year through Gifts of Hope, we partner with Prison Fellowship WA to provide Christmas gifts and a Summer Camp opportunity for children who have a parent in prison. This December, we’re seeking to provide $30,000 to support the families of those who are within the prison system.
Christmas Hampers:
For our Christmas hamper initiative, we’ll be partnering with Midland Meals, who provide hot dinner meals at three different locations across Perth, 7-nights-a-week for people in need. We also will be building three teams to distribute the hampers together, as we remind people that “You are loved. You haven't been forgotten. God sees you.”
